    Simply Impressive
This was my second 3D printer, with the first one being the highly popular 3rd model that shares the same name as Orson Scott Card's most famous character, so I have some experience already. And I have to say, the experience has been phenomenal. It's printing basically out of the box the way it took me months of mods and tweaks to get on my other printer - the only things I installed before printing were a strain relief bracket and cable chain for the bed cables and an updated fan duct, based on feedback from existing Sidewinder owners. I'm now printing some extra covers and accessories (like a tool holder) and can't wait to dive into printing larger, more exciting things.

The pros are too numerous to list. It's a robust, polished machine at a frankly phenomenal price - this is what I'd expect out of a much more expensive printer. And the cons are very minimal:

-There seems to be a persistent firmware error that causes the Light On button in the mid-print options screen to freak out and not work. I've seen this in at least one YouTube review and that part of the screen works perfectly anywhere else, so it seems like a relatively simple software fix. I have a flashlight nearby anyway.

-The X-axis endstop had two minor issues - it needed to be unplugged and re-plugged before it would register at all (the connector looked like it was seated properly but apparently that's not the case) and it didn't seem far enough over to register off of the metal parts of the extruder carriage. I didn't want to move the entire circuit board so as to not cause a twist in the ribbon cable, so I swapped the M3-12 bolt for an M3-25 and added some washers behind the sensor so it would pick up on the metal of the extruder assembly.

-The tools included seem to be of high quality but two critical tools from my printing experience seem to be missing: a bed scraper and a flush cutter. You could argue that the scraper shouldn't be necessary because of the glass bed, but the coating on the glass is really sticky - I've had to pry pretty hard with the scraper I have and haven't even cleaned the bed in between each print as I do on my other machine. And flush cutters are nice for trimming off the ends of filament, removing brims, and the like.

These concerns are minor and either were solved quickly or could be solved in a future update. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this as a first printer - it's easier to cut your teeth on a $200 machine that can be upgraded more easily than something polished like the Sidewinder - but as a second printer, I think it'd be top notch in its size class even without factoring in the great price.

    Meine Druckparameter:
    PLA (Amazon Basic White)
    Bett temp: 60°C
    Anfängliche Drucktemp: 205°C
    Weitere Drucktemp: 195°C
    Geschwindigkeit: 60 mm/sek
    Infill: 15%

    Anmerkungen:

Faster 3d printer I ever seen
This machine checked all the boxes for me:
    1. Large format (300x300x400 build area) The bed is slightly over sized so it is a fully use able area.
    2. Volcano hotend- it appears to not be a genuine but seems to work quite well. It comes with a .4 nozzle. This works quite well but I imagine down the road I will put at least a .8 nozzle on this machine.
    3. Filament runout sensor- it mounts at the top of the machine and initiates an automated routine controlled by the touch screen.
    4. TOUCH SCREEN! Capacitive! Works quite well, I was worried about the size but the menus and general use work quite well.
    5. Low price but with support included- in all my interactions with Artillery 3D they have been amazing to deal with. Helped walked me through a couple hiccups with kindness and understanding. Very odd to see as I don’t see that kind of service with very large companies I deal with.
    6. Silent Drivers- The only Noise is a subtle fan noise. If my robos are on (not printing- just on) I can’t hear this machine running.

The machine is very low maintenance and so easy to use. It is sturdy as well with an all metal frame and barely wobbles. I assembled the Artillery 3D printer and I got to print my first print within 30mins. Print quality is amazing. Mark my words, this is going to be a game changer in 2019. I wanted to let you know that this is one of the highest quality printers I have ever used! You guys have done an excellent job!

So far I have been thrilled. I have not had much time with the machine but have printed some things and am tuning a Simplify 3D.

Overall, for anyone who is looking for an easy intro to 3D printing this is definitely a good choice.

Rough start, but amazing product overall
The package I received was really well made, all the parts of the printer were secured with care. The instruction are really clear, they walk you through the assembly and set up of the printer with all the important details. The product come with straps to secure all the axis and all the cables are tied with tape so they don't move during the shipping. On the package side they did a majestic job.

They provide you with an extra set of flat cables, a really cool pouch, a USB pen, all the tools needed to assembly and disassembly the printer, an extra nozzle and some more spare parts.

The "rough start" I mentioned in the title refers to the first step of the assembly (wich is the only real assembly you have to do) where you have to mount the vertical frame on the base. I probalby got the only X1 of the entire lotto where the vertical frame could not fit because the housing on the base was too narrow. I fixed things with a file and a bit of patience.

Execpt this little settleback, the rest of the assembly was easy, and the printer was set and calibrated in the next 30 minutes for the test print. Even for a noob like me, the interface of the printer is really comprehensible and easy to use.

This was my first 3d printer and I'm really enjoing it, i built a couple of things that I need for school project and I'm satisfied with the result. A thing that I really like is the fast heating, because I usually "babysit" the first part of the print to see if there is something wrong. A big plus is that during the print the machine is really quiet, so you don't have to worry with loud noises during the night print.

Plus, the Sidewinder looks really cool!

    Artellery Sidewinder X1
    Solid and well-made printer.
    Assembled in 15 minutes.
Level the plate 2-3 minutes and print the test cube on the stick in about 30 minutes.
    All right.
Already tested PLA filament (easy and quick to print) and PETG (from Amazon) which is more difficult but also here after a couple of adjustments everything is ok
The printer is already excellent without further modifications, but to make it 100% safe, the following changes are recommended that I have already done (all of them are on thingiverse).
1st x-axis cable lock on the extruder (over time various users have had problems due to disconnection of the cable from the seat
2nd block of the 220V power supply compartment of the heated plate (working at 220 it is better to ensure that it cannot be broken)
3rd molded extruder spare lever (tends to break over time if too compressed)
4th bars to stiffen the Z axis (modification recommended if high pieces are printed)
Excellent printer summary with many strengths and a very large print bed.
The only shortcoming is a flexible magnetic plate in PEI that makes the removal of prints much faster and safer (it is inside the $ 50 and will be a future upgrade).

    Super

i think that everything will be fine
The printer came by the company cdek for 3 days, sent from moscow shel novorossiysk (krasnodar territory). Packing from factory class!! You don't have to worry. According to the configuration all as in the description and pictures, from the pleasant that it is most likely 3 version and have been removed all the shortcomings up to the trifles (screws on the shafts with idle plastic, the extruder cover is usually printed on it the same, and looks terrible, came cast with factory quality). Details are all also of good quality (steel!!! Cast, milled!!). Assembly and the child is understandable (for gifted instructions there is also a tutorial on youtube). Manuals in the kit on the english and immediately say that the site came (i advise, there in the section "downloads" settings for cura and very useful). On the work, if blowing is not put on 255, then quiet. Sorry for the quality of the photo, but tried to convey the best quality. I advise 10 10!! This is my 5 printer and !!

Great 3D printer directly out of the box
This 3D printer was up to expectatives I had after my research. The quality of the printing right after installing it was amazing, check the picture attached. Also it's incredibly quiet. But:
    - The instructions are not very clear and were out of date, with some steps missing and others were for a different version. Additionally I tighten the bed belt.
    - It comes with a slicer in the USB key but I decided to use Cura, finding the right model and settings took me a while, finally found them in 3D Nexus (Google it).
    - Leveling the bed perfectly is almost impossible, but despite that it prints perfectly well even when it's not totally levelled.
    - The design comes with some problems (loose cables, spool holder and run out sensor), look for them before buying it.
Still, despite these things, I 100% recommend it if you already know a bit of 3D printing and you're not a completely beginner.
